The World Mime Organisation has decided to present the "Special WMO Award for the outstanding contribution to the art of mime" to Spanish mime artist Carlos Martìnez.
He began his journey as an actor using his voice and words but discovered the power of silence and universality of body language. An artist who uses stage to advocate universal human rights and mime to promote ideas of European peoples unity in all their differences.
Carlos Martìnez shares his art as if it was mime a la carte around the world as well as his knowledge with his students inspiring them to find their hand made way in the art of "pantomima".
